Women On Front Line, Hossein's latest documentary project on Women's movement in Iran is in the process of being funded.

The Story of a Deadly Oil Rush, Hossein's documentary project on oil sands industry and its catastrophic impact on the environment is being considered by the BBC and the National Film Board of Canada.

March 2008

Invited to Aarhus Film Symposium in Denmark. Hossein, along with three other filmmakers from the Netherlands and Romania, were invited to give lectures and hold workshops with film students at Aarhus University, European Film College and The National Film School of Denmark.

June 2007:

Chosen by Sundance Institute to participate in its 2008 NHK/Sundance Filmmakers Awards.

May 2007:

Short-listed to take part in Live Earth, an event to raise awareness on climate crisis, funded by Al Gore. It took place simultaneously in 7 different countries on 7th of July, 2007 and was viewed by approximately 2 billion people around the world.
