, Hossein Docu-drama on the infamous Bandit Queen of India is in the process of being funded.
"Born in India, 1961, Phoolan was subjected to brutal circumstances of poverty and rape. Devi’s unprecedented transformations from a peasant, to a prisoner, to a parliamentarian will be chronologically exposed using key interviews from her family, friends, enemies and scholars. More specifically, the film will trace Phoolan’s experiences as the subject of gang rapes, leader of her own gang, involvement in an infamous massacre of 22 men, the 11 years she spent in prison and her assassination in 2001".
